The Magic of Thriving Communities:Arts, Culture and Deep Listening 2019 Thriving Communities Gathering at the Whidbey Institute

Story Bridge starts at 9 am Friday.
Main gathering runs Friday, March 15, 2019 at 6 pm through Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 1:30 pm.
The exploration and focus will be on youth and their perspective on arts and culture, through their eyes as filmmakers and thought leaders. Our world and our communities need youth views in the conversation. Through their films, we will weave conversations (during World Café and Open Space) so all of our voices are included.
Actionable outcomes will be expected.
You'll have the option to pay in full or in part, by check or credit card, at the conclusion of your registration process.

The internationally acclaimed Story Bridge team will co-create a Play in a Day with us to inspire our gathering. We encourage you to participate in this story/theater experience. It’s a valuable transformational community-building tool.
Meals at the Whidbey Institute are provided by Executive Chef Christyn Johnson and her dedicated staff. Thoughtful, creative menus celebrate the bounty of the Institute’s organic gardens and local seasonal produce. A master at attuning her meals to a vast array of dietary preferences and restrictions, Christyn not only welcomes but embraces raw, plant-based, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free diners.
Meals subject to 8.7% tax.
Residential-style kitchen space is available in the Farmhouse and Granny's for those lodging onsite.
Standard meal service begins at dinner on Friday and concludes with lunch on Sunday.

Lodging at the Whidbey Institute is mostly in shared rooms in two residential style homes and several woodland cabins. All bathrooms are shared. Room assignments will be emailed out a few days prior to each retreat start date.

Your optional scholarship contribution is tax deductible and directly supports the participation of others with financial need during this Thriving Communities Gathering. This year is critical: we expect an increase in youth participation due to our focus. We would appreciate your contribution, which will enable more young people to join us.
